Driver Updaters are PUPs

All third-party driver update software is worthless. Most of it is either advertising for a so-called antivirus suite, which is another way of saying ‘software by the department of redundancy department,’ and the rest is just plain malware. All driver updaters should be from the manufacturer of the hardware, usually Dell, Lenovo, Brother, HP, and so on. No exceptions, ever. Read more, and about PUPs, Potentially Unwanted Programs, in the free February PC Updater News.
